Formed in the same way as a classic movie cliché,
Victoria and Thomas founded the band while they were still
in high school - Damiano asked to join the band a short time ago
later, and Ethan joined the group via an ad on
Facebook: "Drummer wanted for a band with several
covers and copyrighted songs already arranged".
The quartet got together and played in the streets and, from time to time,
ventured to post some covers on Måneskin's YouTube channel. In 2017, they applied to participate in The X-Factor and became finalists on the program. Although they didn't officially win, the Italian public embraced them very warmly and they've been breaking records ever since.
With "Zitti e Buoni", Måneskin wins the Sanremo Festival 2021 and theEurovision Song Contest.
Italy had not won the competition since 1990 and
the effects were clear: 'Zitti e Buoni' became themost listened to italian song of all timeon digital platforms. The song is part of the album "Teatro D'Ira - Vol. I", which also carries other hits from the band.
The success of the "Chosen" EP, the "Il Ballo della Vita" album and the almost instantly sold-out shows prove that Måneskin have always been very well received wherever they passed through their country.
After the victory, the success was explosive in all parts of the world, and many people went to "rediscover" the band's discography, making songs from the first EP (Chosen) become Hits. It's the case of the cover of "Begin', performed by the band in 2017 on The X-Factor. Track "I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE", by Teatro D'Ira, was also blamed for the success of 2021, even though it was released months earlier.
After two years on tour, with the 'Il Ballo Della Vita Tour', and going through a pandemic, the band was chosen to participate in thefestival of sanremo(where great singers compete for a place to represent Italy in Eurovision).

• Victoria and Thomas are the founders of Måneskin, they had other previous bands that had no future.
• Victoria comes from Danish and Italian family, which is why the band's name is Danish (meaning "Moonlight")
• Damiano and Victoria also had a band together in the past. Damiano was kicked out of the band for wanting to make pop music.
• Ethan Torchio was the latest member to join the band, via a Facebook ad. He joked in an interview that"the other bands didn't work out because there was an Ethan missing".
• In a live, Damiano and Thomas answered the question "what is the most significant experience of your life?" and said at the same time that it was to know each other.
• Thomas says his favorite song from the band is "VENT'ANNI". He also composed the instrumental for "Le Parole Lontane".
